We, the artists behind Café Nordo, Ripple Productions, and Nebula Seattle, are dreaming, planning, and weaving stories while working tirelessly to find our new home: a brick-and-mortar portal to thousands of square feet of explorable art, artifacts, technology, and performance.

Accessibility is key, both in terms of proximity to the city center and having a building that is welcoming to folks of all abilities. If we find a space with no elevator, we want to know we can build one.

Size matters. You saw what we could do with the Georgetown Steam Plant. Over 2200 people walked through our portal over 11 days of performances. Our ideal is a large, industrial space that we can get occupancy zoning for. The more guests we can have at a given time the less we need to charge for each ticket to support the space.

These two elements make it essential that before we consider putting an offer on a building, we have an architect and structural engineer give us the go ahead. This costs around $5k every time we seriously consider purchasing property. Hopefully the next time we do this it will be the one!

Ripple Productions, the umbrella organization that housed Café Nordo and now houses Nebula Seattle, has come a long way. From an experimental theater company garnering critical acclaim in Soho NYC, to a date-night institution in Pioneer Square, to Seattle’s own dream technology company able to access a dream portal in an old steam plant. Our bread and butter is reinvention with a commitment to new and innovative storytelling.

Our infrastructure relies on your generous contributions, (and the matches from your companies,) to bridge the gap between now and the opening of the Nebula doors.
